
The 360 Degree Survey
We created a 360 Degree Survey instrument that requests feedback in five important areas of communication and influence. They are:
- Building Relationships
- Handling Conflict
- Supporting Others to Succeed
- Selling Ideas
- Managing Expectations
This web-based survey instrument assists individuals in identifying communication strengths and opportunities. The survey questions are behaviorally specific. Hence, participants can immediately take action to improve. We recommend the survey process be repeated again after 6 to 12 months to track individual progress.
The survey can be administered as a stand-alone instrument or in conjunction with our courses. The survey specifically addresses topics presented the
Communication and Influence and Leadership and Influence courses. We
strongly recommend that our clients include the 360 survey as part of the training. We have designed these two courses to accommodate receipt, evaluation, and planning against survey results as part of the course.
Process
The 360-Degree Survey instrument requires that participants ask their manager, peers, direct reports, and/or customers to give them feedback about their communication and leadership effectiveness by completing an online survey. Eight surveys are processed (including 1 self-evaluation survey that is filled out by the participant). The final report is available in hardcopy, via email, and in online formats depending on client needs. The survey process takes approximately 4 weeks to complete.
Privacy
All survey responses are coded and remain anonymous. The results are confidential and viewed only by the participant. While survey results can be pooled to identify department and/or organizational strengths and opportunities, under no circumstances do we share individual survey results with the participant’s colleagues or managers.
